Meet my most recently added wardrobe-piece I bought from Soul Sante. I love this quintessential Rajasthani tribal necklace for its coin-metallic tone and statement-making appeal. And its not just another neckpiece... If you google Rajasthani jewelry you'll see that such neck pieces were worn by brides to stay protected from evil. Another interesting bit were the two twenty five paisa coins dated 1987 and 1975 placed on either side of the bold hook. A thing of real beauty and its certainly going to catch a lot of attention.
Forever 21 Denims and Shoes
Wore my new ikat kedio top to Soul Sante. I wanted a kedio for ages and at last the wish got fulfilled during my visit to Wills Fashion Week. Got some fabric back from Delhi and after a series of visits, I finally managed to get it stitched from a local tailor.
A little about kedio silhouettes. They are great for hiding belly fat and the fall works wonders for curvy frames. I wore it with an acid wash pair to give it a grunge feel and tying my hair into a loose braid was intentional too. All the people who know me well enough knows that I like to add some Indianism to my style and this one's no different.
One event where Bangalore's talent comes alive. Each creative soul present there must have thought at least once to have their own space of creative artifacts on display. The event started under strong sun but soon after 3 it all turned into a cool breeze. People with beer in their hands got themselves busy in stall hopping and shopping till they became happy high. I too scored some one-of-a-kind stuff. Will very soon share it with you all. Till then ... here are some of the captured moments from this fun filled event..!
Bag: Local find from Bangalore
Before Bangalore gets back to its pleasant self, here's a little something I gotta tell. One day while braving myself from the soaring heat of the city last month, I found myself into one of the Fabindia's stores. Anirban being a lover of all things Indian spotted this quintessential cool summer dress and declared that shopping is on him. The dress got a more than welcoming response in my wardrobe. Have worn it countless times already with twin messy braids. So in case you spot a woman in a not-so-white sleeveless dress with face hiding behind her hair then that would be me.
Shoes (Pretty old too)
Almost two months till we get the keys to our new home.. I don't think this fact has really sunk in..cause believe me, I am not prepared at all. Nevertheless, I am too excited to move into this all-white nest. We never planned to do this shoot here but when we reached, this outfit and my mood seem to just blend in with the walls. And it seemed like a great way to share this with all of you. So I predict that a lot of future posts would be shot here during our curtain-couch-colour conversations.
Thoughts on this ensemble. Well, on my process of making the perfect denim cut-offs (which I always end up cutting a little too short) I, instead of pairing it with a Tee and slip-ons, teamed with this long shirt. So the long and short (also the proper and improper respectively) went well together. Finished it with a choker for Punk-like results.
I finally managed to go through Splash Fashion’s spring/summer lookbook and see who is mastering tropical prints this summer. It’s our very own Splash! Above is just some of the brand’s recent collection which I personally saw on their racks. Picking up on the key spring/summer trends for both men and women, Splash is bringing to you sporty chic, nautical, floral as well as tropical inspired trends. So, head straight for this fantastic new summer collection before you turn elsewhere.

Mini satchel: Topshop

Lately, I have been having lotsa fun with this shirt dress. Dressing it up/down and layering it under/over most of my basics. It's size 16 and is perfectly over-sized for me. Although residing in Bangalore keeps me away from Delhi's thrift shopping but I believe that it's the best 350 bucks I have spent in due time. Powder blue sans sleeves with an imperfectly-perfect fall makes this piece a notch above my other summer finds.
